Lowe's has this Werner FS200 fiberglass 4ft ladder for $13.50 IN STORE. The website shows half-off price of $24, which is already a good price. I decided to visit their ladder section and found 3 of these ladders for even a better price. I bought 1, and there are 2 left in the Lowe's Columbia, MD store.

This is Slickdeals. There is no handholding. Sometimes we have to put on our big-boy pants, and go look for a good deal. The only alternative would be no YMMV deals, and that would be a sad thing. Over the years I've scored some really excellent YMMV deals. I've probably missed out on many more, but instead of getting salty, I just moved on to the next thread.
Brickseek is a bit inaccurate on this. It shows that none of the stores around me has stock, but 3 ladders were in front of me with $13 price tag.

We're up to 3 step ladders now, so I am out of excuses to buy more. Good deal though.

...but what's up with the recent influx of "YMMV" deals from Lowes? It's nice to know that there are deals on certain product lines or holiday overstock. Yet on the other hand, these deals boil down to "in store only markdowns, good luck, have fun, get lucky". There's no consistency or ability for everyone to get in on the action.

I don't want this to turn into Reddit or Imgur where it becomes "Heeeey yooooou guys! Look at the awesome one-off yard sale/manager markdown deal I got!" Maybe you can duplicate it, maybe not. And if it was just a small handful of deals like this, I wouldn't even care.

But it literally seems like *everything* from Lowes is YMMV now.

Brickseek isn't showing proper Lowes inventory hence the YMMV for all Lowes deals.

Weird, I didn't see this when I was picking up my platform on clearance last night. They did have a 6ft aluminum for half price ($44). I would have definitely picked this up for $13. I may try to go back this weekend.

Lowes doesn't let you place an online order on Clearance items anymore.
So you have to be willing and able to go look for it yourself if you want to get these deals at 75% off.
